Homestead Organics is an organic farm supply and service business. We are convinced that the production of organic food is the sustainable and profitable way to meet the needs of the population in concert with the needs of our planet.
Our mission is to serve and develop organic agriculture. We are a full spectrum organic farming supply and service business. We are active in the processing and marketing of field crops, livestock feed and supplements. Organic farmers can also count on us for soil amendments, seed for field and garden, organic farm supplies, pest control products, education and information. We work for the betterment of many aspects of organic farming, to ensure that the customer has most of the resources and information necessary to take full advantage of the many natural benefits of organic farming.
We dedicate this book to all those farm families who devote their lives to feeding the world as they care for the soil, the crops and the animals. The constant struggle with the complexities of farm life can sometimes be overwhelming. We hope that this focus on nutrition can provide easy steps to raising healthy and productive animals. Please use it in conjunction with other resources on animal husbandry and organic farm management.
