Thymox
Uses: Antiseptic | Disinfectant
Thymox™ is an effective biodegradable disinfectant for agricultural use made of natural active ingredients. It has detergent action, contains a foaming agent and leaves a lemon-thyme scent after use. Thymox™ is effective in 10 minutes at a dilution rate of 1% against staphylococcus bacteria, salmonella, Escherichia, listeria and trichophyton mentagrophytes. It is also a fungicide and effective against some viruses, such as avian flu.
Thymox ™ contains 18% Thymol as an active ingredient, which is 100% natural and generally recognized as safe, and is included on the list of US-EPA minimum-risk pesticides. Other ingredients are essential oils and plant extracts. The product was developed in Sherbrooke, Quebec, by M2 Laboratory.
In the developer’s efficacy tests in several types of pork and poultry buildings, Thymox™ destroyed 100% of e.coli and significantly reduced total bacterial flora.
